Apple Crumble

Ingredients

  • 8-10 mixed apples, cored, peeled, cut into 1 inch slices
  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 12 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 12 tablespoons cold butter, diced
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F/180˚C.
  • In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, 1 cup brown sugar, oats, walnuts, and cold butter. Mix with hands until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Spread the apple slices in a buttered baking dish. Toss with 12 cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  • Sprinkle the crumb mixture on top of the apples.
  • Bake for 50-60 mins or until the crumb topping is golden brown.
  • Serve warm with ice cream.
